Why I Blog

BLOG

Q: Why are you blogging, rather than keeping a personal journal?
A: I am blogging rather than journaling because I want to hone my skills when it comes to my “presentation of ideas” – The way I teach the truth of God’s Word. Understanding something is great, but communicating that understanding in a way that makes sense and helps others is even better. I believe blogging will help me with this, which is great because this is an area that I really want to experience growth in.

Q: What topics do you think you’ll write about?
A: Bible teaching, both verse by verse and topically.

Q: Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
A: The general public –

  1. People who already love the Word of God and just enjoy Bible teaching.
  2. Christians who have a hunger to learn and grow from a study of God’s Word. My hope would be that this blog would help satisfy that hunger.
  3. Non-Christians. That there would be something about my blogs that draw them in to further explore the claims of Christianity.

Q: If you blog successfully throughout 2014, what would you hope to have accomplished?
A: Consistently posting at least once per week leading to solid growth in my ability to communicate utilizing the various modes available.
